The highly anticipated Malayalam action thriller L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has shattered records with its advance bookings. The film has generated immense excitement among audiences, leading to an overwhelming demand for tickets across Kerala.

According to Sacnilk, pre-sales for L2: Empuraan began on March 21, and within the first 24 hours, the film sold an astonishing 628,000 tickets on BookMyShow. This remarkable feat has set a new benchmark for advance bookings in Malayalam cinema, further fueling anticipation for its grand release.

L2: Empuraan has set a new industry benchmark by surpassing major Bollywood, Mollywood, and Tollywood blockbusters in advance bookings. The film became the first ever to sell 350,000 tickets within the first 24 hours of pre-sales on the platform, breaking all previous records.

The previous record was held by Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, which had sold 341,780 tickets on its first day of advance booking. However, L2: Empuraan has now outperformed it by a significant margin. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan stands third on the list, having sold 253,000 tickets during its first day of advance sales.
