Actress Kunickaa Sadanand recently spoke about her experience working with superstar Akshay Kumar over the years and talked about Akshay’s fitness and explained why women were attracted towards him, calling him one of the fittest Bollywood stars.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kunickaa opened up about Akshay Kumar's fitness and said, “He (Akshay Kumar) used to be so handsome and fit. He still is. He is one year younger than me. They work hard. Akshay was one of the fittest guys in the industry."
She further explained that active testosterone levels contribute to fitness. In the same interview, Kunickaa revealed that during the 90s, men in the industry often made aggressive advances toward actresses.
As a result, women from “respectable” families were hesitant to pursue acting. She added that even lighting technicians would sometimes behave inappropriately towards actresses.
She also revealed that her hairdresser often stayed by her side to shield her from unwanted advances. While some people approached her politely, others were more persistent, but her hairdresser always handled them with sharp and witty comebacks.

Kunickaa also opened up about her past relationship with singer Kumar Sanu, recalling how they connected during the early days of her career. She shared that she was instantly drawn to him when they spent time together in Ooty—she was there for a film shoot, while he was on vacation.
She has carved a niche for herself in Indian cinema with her versatile performances. Beginning her career in Delhi, she later moved to Mumbai, where Manju Asrani played a key role in helping her secure a breakthrough role in television. Over the years, she has been a part of several popular TV shows, including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Zindagi Ki Mehak, Kumkum Bhagya, and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.
