The KPop wave just scored another massive win—this time through animation. Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has climbed its way to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, a first for the film since its release earlier this year.
The real headline is Huntr/x, the fictional girl group at the center of the movie, continues to make chart history. Their single “Golden” just logged its fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest-running chart-topper ever by an animated act. That beats out classics like The Archies’ “Sugar, Sugar” and even The Chipmunks’ Christmas staple.
A Long Road to No. 1
For weeks, the soundtrack had been stuck at No. 2. According to Luminate, it finally jumped to the top with 128,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. this week, boosted by a deluxe edition released on Sept. 5 and its first-ever CD version. The last time a soundtrack dominated like this was Disney’s Encanto back in 2022
Huntr/x Mania
Huntr/x—brought to life by EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and REI AMI (Zoey)—isn’t just topping charts, they’re rewriting the rules. Alongside “Golden,” the group also has “How It’s Done” climbing to a new high at No. 8 on the Hot 100.

The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack is holding strong with four tracks in the Hot 100’s top 10 for a fourth week straight. That includes Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop,” back to their peak at No. 4 and No. 5.
A Big Week for Music Charts
Outside of the animated frenzy, Justin Bieber’s Swag roared back into the top 5 after dropping a deluxe version with 23 new tracks. And Sombr’s I Barely Know Her cracked the top 10 for the first time.
