Former Pink Fantasy member and current IZ (I:Z) idol Heesun has officially welcomed her twins, marking a joyful new chapter in her life following the sudden announcement of her pregnancy earlier this year.
The 2005-born idol shared the news through a heartfelt post, revealing that she unexpectedly went into labour after developing a fever. Both newborns also experienced fevers after birth, with one twin requiring the support of a ventilator in the early stages. Despite the worrying start, Heesun reassured fans that the babies received excellent care and made a full recovery.
Just days later, Heesun posted an update alongside her partner, announcing that her twins — Eunwoo and Eunyul, had finally been discharged from the hospital.
In her emotional message, she wrote, “Our Eunwoo and Eunyul have finally been discharged. Our babies, sleeping peacefully in mom and dad’s arms for the first time… You didn’t wake up once during the 2+ hour car ride home — we’re so proud and thankful. While we were at the postpartum center, seeing other moms and babies every day made me feel envious and frustrated, but now our family is finally together. Our beloved Eunwoo and Eunyul, Mom and Dad are still a little clumsy, but let’s grow up beautifully together. We sincerely welcome you to this world, our precious babies.”
Fans praised Heesun’s honesty about the difficulties and joys of becoming a young mother.
Heesun surprised the industry and fans earlier this year when she revealed she was expecting, strongly implying that she would be marrying her partner. The announcement came as a shock, given her ongoing activities and recent re-debut trajectory.
Heesun has been active in multiple idol groups, but she is most widely recognized for her time in Pink Fantasy, remaining a member until the group’s disbandment. In June 2024, she reappeared as part of the trio I:Z, which later became a duo following a member’s departure.
Throughout 2024, Heesun and fellow member Arang continued group activities, though promotions came to a pause when her pregnancy progressed. Despite stepping back from schedules, Heesun remains officially part of the I:Z lineup.
