ARMYs worldwide are buzzing with excitement after BTS leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, dropped an update about the group’s long-awaited comeback. The rapper took to WeVerse to share a message that has reignited anticipation for BTS’ new album, expected to release in 2026.
Writing to fans, RM said, “Above all, the music’s sounding really great!! Everyone’s putting in a lot of effort. Please look forward to it. Hwaiting 2026 BTS & ARMY.” His message hinted that the album’s production is nearly complete, with the members currently fine-tuning their next musical chapter.
The update follows months of speculation about BTS’ grand return. Earlier this year, all seven members - RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, and Jin - reunited in the United States to work on new material following their military discharges. Their reunion marked the end of a long hiatus that began when the group enlisted for mandatory service in South Korea.
During an appearance at W Korea’s Love Your W event in October, RM had already teased the project, saying, “We have to keep preparing for the album — we’ll shoot the album photos and film the music video. Please look forward to late March.” His latest WeVerse post now confirms that preparations are well underway, setting the stage for what could be one of the biggest musical comebacks in history.

Beyond the album, reports suggest BTS is planning an ambitious world tour that will span more than 65 cities globally, including over 30 shows in North America alone. A Bloomberg report hinted that cities like Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, São Paulo, Sydney, and Mumbai are being considered for the lineup. If true, this would mark BTS’ first-ever live performance in India, a milestone millions of Indian ARMYs have long dreamed of.
BIGHIT Music has kept details under wraps, stating only, “Details regarding the tour’s scale and cities are still being discussed.”
