Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston’s alleged stalker, who crashed his car into the actress’ Bel Air home’s front gate, recently appeared in court and created a scene. He appeared shirtless behind a protective glass.
However, the court has ordered a mental health evaluation for the accused, who goes by the name Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, on Thursday. The court will determine whether he is competent to face felony stalking and vandalism charges following the evaluation.
Carwyle appeared shirtless, covered in a blanket, in the Los Angeles court on Thursday. Several photos of the accused from the courtroom went viral on social media. In the photos, he can be seen smiling at the camera.
The accused, who appeared behind glass in a custody area, did not enter a plea or speak at all during the proceedings.
However, his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. Meanwhile, Jennifer’s lawyer claimed that Carwyle was harassing her through voicemails, emails and social media messages for two years.
According to the NY Post, Jimmy Wayne’s lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Toral Malik, said, “I don’t believe him staying away from Ms. Aniston will be an issue at this time.”
Meanwhile, Judge Keith L. Schwartz questioned whether Jimmy Wayne would comprehend his order, as the prosecutor asked the judge to restrict the jailed defendant's contact with Jennifer.
However, the judge later ordered the accused not to maintain any kind of contact with Jennifer Aniston. The judge ordered, “You are not to have any contact with Jennifer Aniston under any conditions.” The accused remained in jail following the hearing, unable to meet the $150,000 bail requirement.
