Janhvi Kapoor has recently sparked a buzz on social media after she liked a cryptic post about her actress mother, Sridevi, and Madhuri Dixit. The post compared the late actress with a dig at Madhuri, leaving fans wondering if Janhvi agrees with the shocking claims.
A social media post is going viral in which a user questioned why Madhuri received a Filmfare Award for her role in Beta, particularly for the iconic song 'Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’. The creator criticises Madhuri’s vulgar steps in the song and emphasises that she shouldn’t have earned the award.
The video was shared with the caption, “Madhuri in Beta - Did vulgar step song and did nothing in the movie and won the Filmfare Best Actress award.”
The video then shows late actress Sridevi’s powerful double role in Khuda Gawah and claims that she was robbed of the award despite the fact that she delivered a strong performance.

The overlaid text reads, "Did double role with landmark acting that carried the whole movie on her shoulder still Filmfare ignored her for Best Actress."
For the unversed, Madhuri’s Beta was released in April, and Sridevi’s Khuda Gawah hit the theatres in May of the same year in 1992.
However, Janhvi reportedly agreed with the claims and liked the video. A screenshot that captured the actress’ like was shared on Reddit. However, she later removed the like, sparking a debate on social media about whether it was a mistake or if she was hinting at something. Janhvi has yet to officially address the drama.
