Ground Zero, which was directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and starred Emraan Hashmi in the lead role along with Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain, opened in theatres on April 25, 2025. The film draws inspiration from the real-life valour of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, whose 2003 counterterrorism operation played a crucial role in identifying the mastermind behind the 2001 attacks on Akshardham Temple and the Indian Parliament.

Despite the compelling premise and the patriotic sentiment it evokes, Ground Zero has had a modest start at the box office. As per Sacnilk.com, it managed to collect Rs 1.15 crore on its opening day. Although expectations were high given the subject and the talent involved, the initial response from audiences has been rather tepid.

On its second day, the film maintained a slow pace at the ticket window. As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, the action-thriller earned approximately Rs 1.90 crore on Saturday, bringing its total collection to Rs 3.05 crore over two days. These figures suggest the film is yet to find its footing with a wider audience.

Even though the film has received positive reviews from critics, who have praised Emraan Hashmi's performance and the film's honest storytelling, this praise hasn't translated into more people visiting the theatre. The film's realistic tone and fact-based plot might have made it more appealing to a specialised audience than to general moviegoers.
