Early on Sunday morning, panic struck outside the home of controversial YouTuber and Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav in Gurgaon’s Sector 56, when unidentified assailants opened fire.
Fortunately, Elvish was not present at the residence at the time of the incident, which has now prompted a full-scale police investigation.
According to officials, the attack unfolded between 5.30am and 6am. Three masked men, riding a motorbike, arrived at the location and unleashed a barrage of bullets before fleeing.
According to TOI, around 15 shots were fired; however, Elvish’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, later claimed the assailants discharged nearly double that number.
“The police administration is doing its job well. Our family was present at home when the firing incident happened. I was asleep when it occurred. We believe the police are working properly. Around 25–30 rounds were fired. In the CCTV footage, three miscreants can be seen, out of which two are clearly visible,” he stated, offering reassurance while also acknowledging the severity of the situation. PTI reported.
The gunfire was targeted towards the first floor and the stilt parking area beneath the property, while Elvish’s living quarters are situated on the third floor. Thankfully, despite the intensity of the firing, no one from the family sustained any injuries.
Police teams quickly cordoned off the residence following the incident. Forensic experts were also called in to recover evidence, including bullet casings, while CCTV footage from the vicinity is being carefully examined. Officials confirmed that the attackers’ faces were partially captured on video, which may provide crucial leads in identifying them.

The shocking act of violence has stirred considerable concern, not only among residents of the neighbourhood but also among Elvish’s large fanbase, given his high-profile presence on social media. While the motive behind the attack is not yet known, speculation is rife due to Elvish’s controversial image and past run-ins with authorities.
As the investigation progresses, security outside Elvish Yadav’s residence has been heightened. Police have assured the family and the public that every effort is being made to trace the culprits swiftly and bring them to justice.
