Diljit Dosanjh gets slammed for charging Rs 25,000 per ticket for his Dil-Luminati India Tour

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh recently faced criticism from social media influencer and comedian Saumya Sahni for charging Rs 25,000 per ticket for his upcoming Dil-Luminati India Tour.

Sahni took to social media to express her frustration, claiming that the ticket prices were too high for his Indian fans, many of whom are middle-class or unemployed.

In her video, she argued that Indian artists should be more considerate of their local audience and avoid charging exorbitant prices, especially when performing in multiple cities. She captioned "my 2 am thoughts are wildly class conscious"

Sahni stated, "No Indian artist should charge ₹20-25 thousand for one concert in India. Most of the audience has no money or employment, and limited means of entertainment. Seeing someone like him sing in our language means a lot, but middle-class people have no access to him."

She further emphasized that lower ticket prices would have allowed more people, including children, to enjoy the concert. Sahni also pointed out that Diljit earns significantly from his international shows, suggesting he could have been more lenient with ticket prices in India.
