Amidst this, during Aakash Baskaran’s family function on Saturday, Tamil superstar Dhanush was spotted sharing a warm hug and interacting with Simbu, also known as Silambarasan TR, who is Nayanthara's ex-boyfriend. This meeting garnered attention amidst the ongoing legal issues involving Dhanush and Nayanthara.
The actors exchanged cheerful smiles and a heartfelt hug during their interaction. Dhanush and Simbu also took a moment to pose for several pictures together, capturing the warm camaraderie between them.
In the viral photos, Dhanush opted for an all-black ensemble, exuding elegance and simplicity. Meanwhile, Simbu donned a beige outfit, complementing his look with a prominent bun, which appears to be part of his appearance for the upcoming movie Thug Life.
Nayanthara posted a three-page open letter on Instagram, where she strongly criticized Dhanush following his issuance of a ₹10 crore legal notice. In the letter, she allegedly described Dhanush as "vile" and expressed disappointment over his actions, citing the legal notice as an unnecessary escalation.
In the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, actor Nagarjuna recalled a time when he observed Nayanthara experiencing a turbulent phase in her personal life, likely referring to her past relationship with Simbu. Though Nagarjuna didn't take any names, he shared an incident from their shoot in Switzerland. He described how the atmosphere would shift whenever Nayanthara's phone rang, as it noticeably affected her mood. He mentioned, "We would all dread her phone ringing. If the phone rang, this girl’s mood would just come down. She would just turn off." This anecdote reflects the emotional challenges Nayanthara faced during that period.
Nagarjuna also shared that he confronted Nayanthara about her relationship, saying, "I remember asking her, 'Why are you doing this to yourself? You’re an accomplished woman.'"
