Actor Deepika Padukone recently opened up about her experience with motherhood and the challenges of balancing her career and personal life following the birth of her daughter, Dua.
During the Forbes 30/50 Global Summit in Abu Dhabi, Deepika shared insights into how becoming a mother has impacted her approach to her work and how she navigates the 'mom guilt' that comes with being a new mother while pursuing her professional commitments.
When asked if motherhood had changed her approach to selecting roles, Deepika described the experience as "incredible" and acknowledged that it would likely influence her choices in future films.
However, she made it clear that she had always been thoughtful and conscious about her decisions, even before becoming a mother. She said, “So to be able to manage my daughter and her life and get back to work without the guilt, I think that is something I'm figuring out.” Deepika added that while she wasn’t struggling with it, she was still in the process of figuring it out.
The actress gave birth to her and Ranveer Singh’s daughter on September 8, 2024. The couple later revealed their baby girl’s name, Dua Padukone Singh, during Diwali.
Following the birth, Deepika took some time off from the public eye, but she has since returned to attending significant events, such as the Forbes Summit in Abu Dhabi, where she was seen in a glamorous golden dress paired with black boots. Ranveer Singh, who couldn’t contain his admiration for his wife’s look, reacted to her pictures on Instagram with a playful “phew!” and a hot face emoji.
On the work front, Deepika’s most recent film appearance was in Singham Again, where she portrayed DCP Shakti Shetty, aka Lady Singham, in the Cop Universe movie.
The film also starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Arjun Kapoor. Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of her next project, with anticipation growing for her future roles.
