Deepika Padukone has once again brought honour to the country on the international stage with the remarkable feat of becoming the first Indian to be a juror for the coveted Louis Vuitton (LVMH) Prize 2025. The glitzy occasion, which took place in Paris on September 3, was the 12th iteration of the renowned fashion award.
The actress gave a moving speech after being asked to present the award on stage. “This Award celebrates talent, creativity and resilience, the very qualities that have guided my own journey as an artist. What I most admire about this prize is that it doesn’t just recognize brilliance but nurtures it,” Deepika said gracefully before announcing the winner.
Out of eight finalists who had previously shown their collections in Paris, Japanese designer Shota Moji of Soshiotsuki was selected as the 2025 LVMH Prize winner. The moment when Deepika gave him the award with warmth was captured in a number of videos that have been circulated online.
Another poignant moment at the event occurred when Deepika was seen consoling Savoir-Faire Prize-winning British designer Torishéju Dumi. Fans praised her gesture on social media.
Deepika, a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton turned heads at the event as she stunned in an oversized silk shirt with abstract prints in shades of yellow and brown.

Some of the most well-known figures in the world of fashion, including Marc Jacobs, Sarah Burton, Stella McCartney, Nicolas Ghesquière, Phoebe Philo, Jonathan Anderson, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Nigo, and Pharrell Williams, were on this year's LVMH Prize jury. Top executives Sidney Toledano, Jean-Paul Claverie, and Diane Arnault were also a part of the Jury.
