As Celebrity MasterChef inches closer to its grand finale, the competition is fiercer than ever. The top five contestants—Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, and Faisal Shaikh—are putting their best foot forward in hopes of lifting the coveted trophy.
It was Gaurav Khanna who stole the show in the latest episode with a jaw-dropping dessert that left the judges in awe.
Presented in a wine glass, Gaurav’s dessert featured syrup gracefully dripping over a pavlova styled to look like a honeycomb. His core ingredient? Ginger. The complexity and creativity of his dish stunned the judges, who described it as “alive.”
“I thought I had seen everything on repeat,” Vikas Khanna said, visibly moved, “but then you create this.” The dish won the rare trio of reactions even before being tasted—Vikas dropped his spoon in amazement, Farah Khan blew a chef’s kiss, and Ranveer Brar tapped his spoon in appreciation. Farah gushed, “I feel like taking this glass and keeping it in my showcase.” Vikas even took a photo, saying it deserved to be remembered.

Farah went on to declare, “If tonight was the finale, Gaurav would have walked away with the trophy.” All the contestants were invited to view the masterpiece, making it clear that this was a defining moment in the competition.
Adding to his admiration, Gaurav had earlier refused to use a time advantage he earned from his previous victory. He had the option to deduct time from others but declined, saying, “All five of us have worked hard to reach here. It doesn’t feel right to take away time from anyone.”
