Film producer Boney Kapoor recently took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to his late wife and legendary actress Sridevi.
On Friday, July 11, he posted a striking photograph of Sridevi dressed in a regal golden and black lehenga, posing gracefully on a staircase.
In the caption, Kapoor fondly referred to her as an "empress," a term that perfectly encapsulated her timeless beauty and aura.
Although they married in June 1996, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi didn't make their marriage public until January 1997.
Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor are the couple's two daughters, and they had a close relationship. Even though more than seven years have passed since Sridevi’s untimely demise in 2018, Kapoor continues to keep her memory alive and close to his heart.
Last year during an interview with News18 Showsha, Boney Kapoor had also opened up about how Sridevi played a pivotal role in inspiring his physical transformation.
He recalled how Sridevi would frequently encourage him to lead a healthier lifestyle while talking about his weight loss journey. “The seeds were sown by my wife. She was always after me to lose weight. She was a health-conscious person herself. I used to go for a walk with her. I used to go to the gym with her,” he said.
Kapoor added emotionally, “I feel Sri is still around me, my wife is still around me and motivating me to lose weight. ‘Lose weight,’ she said. Doctor also said the same thing – You should lose weight before you think of doing a transplant. Here I am, I’ve lost some weight and I’ve got some hair back for some.”
The heartfelt post and past reflections stand as a poignant reminder of the everlasting love and influence Sridevi continues to have in Boney Kapoor’s life.
