A heartwarming clip of Dharmendra attending a dance reality show has resurfaced, showing him visibly charmed and clapping enthusiastically as Hema Malini dances to the song “Tune O Rangeele.”
The footage, shared online after decades, captures a touching moment, Dharmendra seated among the audience, his face glowing with admiration, while his wife performs gracefully on stage. The couple, often regarded as one of Bollywood’s most beloved pairs.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s love story is one of Bollywood’s most beloved, beginning on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawan (1970), where their natural chemistry first sparked. Their bond grew stronger through iconic films like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Dream Girl, Jugnu, and Charas, making them one of the era’s most celebrated on-screen pairs. Despite the complexities of Dharmendra’s first marriage, the two handled their relationship with grace and eventually married in 1980.
Dharmendra passed away just days before his 90th birthday, shortly after being hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital due to breathing difficulties. Although he was discharged on November 12 to continue treatment at home, his condition worsened, leading to his demise.
His final rites were held at the Pawan Hans crematorium, where close family members gathered to bid him farewell. Present were his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini; sons Sunny and Bobby Deol; and daughters Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha, and Ahana Deol.
The cremation also saw a large turnout from the film fraternity, with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and others paying their last respects. Leaders across the political spectrum, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, expressed their condolences on social media, honouring the veteran actor’s immense contribution to Indian cinema.

Dharmendra leaves behind a monumental legacy spanning more than sixty years and over 300 films. His final project, Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan and featuring Agastya Nanda in the lead, is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025, marking the last chapter in the illustrious career of one of Bollywood’s most beloved icons.
