Bollywood actor Jibraan Khan has recently been defrauded by his own cafe manager. The actor, known for his role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, has allegedly been scammed by the manager, who allegedly duped him of Rs 34.99 lakh.
A case has been registered against an employee of Jibraan’s cafe for allegedly swindling about Rs 34 lakh.
According to PTI, Jibraan’s manager, identified as Ajay Singh Rawat, was assigned to deposit the cafe's daily profits into the bank. The actor allegedly neglected to deposit Rs 34.99 lakh over time, though.
The complaint revealed that Jibraan learnt only last week that payments to the suppliers of his cafe were pending. He then ordered an audit of the cafe’s accounts, which showed that the joint had recorded cash sales of Rs 1.14 crore between April and March, but only Rs 79.67 lakh was deposited into its bank account.
The remaining Rs 34.33 lakh was allegedly used by the accused for personal expenses, the complaint said.
However, Jibraan tried to contact Ajay, but he allegedly didn’t answer the calls and later blocked the actor. The actor then filed a complaint with the Bandra police soon after he found out that he had been scammed by his own manager.
The official stated that a probe is in progress and that the police have filed a case against Ajay Rawat for fraud and criminal breach of trust under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following an investigation.

According to the police official, Jibraan Khan owns a cafe in Mumbai’s Bandra area. He had appointed the accused as general manager of the cafe in 2022. Jibraan owned and operated Grounded Cafe in Bandra.
