De De Pyaar De 2 has an official release date.
Their 2019 romantic comedy's sequel promises twice as much fun, twice as much chaos, and twice as many emotions.
On Saturday, Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to drop the film’s first motion poster, giving fans a hilarious glimpse into what’s coming next. The short clip opens with Rakul Preet’s family quite literally throwing Ajay out of a car — a playful hint that the never-ending battle between pyaar (love) and parivaar (family) is far from over.
Sharing the poster, Ajay captioned it, “Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? #PyaarVsParivaar #DeDePyaarDe2 — in cinemas 14th November 2025.”
The sequel brings back the film’s central pair — Ajay and Rakul — alongside an exciting new ensemble cast featuring R. Madhavan, Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Jaaved Jaaferi. Directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg, the film is set to hit the big screens on 14 November 2025, just in time for Diwali.
Directed by Akiv Ali, the 2019 original De De Pyaar De was a delightful romantic comedy that examined love between generations. It narrated the tale of Ashish, a fifty-year-old man who develops feelings for Ayesha, a lively twenty-six-year-old woman, and causes heartbreaking and humorous problems when he presents her to his ex-wife and family.
Now, De De Pyaar De 2 looks set to pick up where the first film left off — with Ashish trying to win over Ayesha’s parents while managing his own family’s eccentricities.
Expect laughter, confusion, and plenty of emotion as the story of pyaar vs parivaar unfolds once more.
