Renowned filmmaker Atlee, who is known for transforming every movie into a spectacle-filled emotional rollercoaster, has now ventured into a completely new field: advertising.
And in keeping with his distinctive approach, he hasn't merely dabbled. He has jumped right in with a massive commercial for Ching's that is more akin to an 8-minute blockbuster than an advertisement.
With hits like Jawan, Mersal, and Theri under his belt, Atlee has built a reputation for stories that tug at the heart while dazzling the eyes. His first-ever ad continues that legacy — a high-octane, visually rich film that’s equal parts action, drama, and full-blown entertainment.
“This wasn’t just about selling a product,” Atlee says. “For me, love is the secret ingredient. Ching’s wanted something India won’t just watch, but love, and that’s why I said yes to my first ever ad. Ranveer’s madness, Bobby sir’s magic, and Sreeleela’s freshness, we’ve cooked this with a lot of heart. Now it’s for the audience to taste.”
And the heart shows. This isn’t your average commercial. From the first frame, it’s clear Atlee approached it the way he would a feature film — with passion, detail, and a deep respect for the audience’s time.

Ranveer Singh, in particular, is in top form, his energy dialled up to eleven. Sreeleela adds a new spark that perfectly balances out the chaos, while Bobby Deol adds gravitas and screen presence.
Whether it’s slow-motion hero entries, stylised fight sequences, or the soaring background score, the ad carries all the hallmarks of an Atlee film. But beyond the style, there’s substance — a sense of fun, drama, and emotion that makes you forget you’re watching an ad at all.
Even as he explores new creative spaces, Atlee hasn’t stepped away from the big screen. He’s currently deep in production on AA22xA6, starring Allu Arjun — a project already making waves for its scale and ambition.
