The script for the Jyothi Krishna-directed movie has changed significantly, especially for Deol's role, after the actor's highly praised performance in Animal.
After Seeing Animal, the Director Reimagines Aurangzeb
At first, Bobby Deol had already finished shooting a couple of the movie's scenes. But after director Jyothi Krishna saw his remarkably quiet yet powerful performance in Animal, everything changed. The filmmaker was so impressed that he made the decision to completely rework Aurangzeb's character in order to better suit Deol's abilities.
"The performance by Bobby Deol Garu in Animal was captivating." Despite having very little dialogue, the way he expressed so much with his facial expressions astounded us," Jyothi Krishna said. "That helped me realize how much more we could do with Aurangzeb's character in our movie."
A More Intense, Deeper Aurangzeb
The director claims that the updated Aurangzeb has a more complex backstory, a deeper emotional arc, and more nuanced personality traits. The choice was made to create a role that would accurately represent Deol's developing range as an actor, not just to capitalise on his current fame.
"Everything about the character has been elevated, from his physical appearance to the motivations behind his actions," Jyothi Krishna stated. "Bobby Garu was ecstatic when I read the revised script. He's constantly trying to push the envelope and create something fresh for the screen.

Bobby Deol's dedication and flexibility were commended by the director, who also pointed out that his portrayal of the recast character gives Hari Hara Veera Mallu a fresh sense of passion. His elegance, his on-screen persona, and the way he speaks with his eyes are all very potent. It has been a genuinely enriching experience to work with him," Jyothi Krishna continued.
