Ayesha Khan recently found herself in the spotlight for an unexpected reason when comedian Bharti Singh sparked controversy with a comment about her appearance on Laughter Chefs Season 3.
The incident occurred during the episode featuring the Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 cast, who visited the show to promote their film.

Bharti Singh, currently expecting her second child with husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, was hosting the episode. The cast members—Warina Hussain, Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, and Parul Gulati—made a grand entry, dancing to the popular film track Pehli Uddi Furr.
During the segment, Bharti remarked, "Jab saari heroine aayi na, mujhe Ayesha ko dekh ke laga, Krushna phir se aa gaya, kyunki uski tarah lambi hai na.” The comment immediately drew attention and sparked criticism on social media.

Parul Gulati also intervened, saying, “You shouldn’t have said this.” Attempting to lighten the mood, Bharti replied, “Sorry, I am pregnant.”

Reacting to this video, a netizen wrote, "Bharati is rude with most women on the show, participants or guests, and bodyshaming jibes from someone who made it big as a comedian, sheerly for the way she looked (more fat, less funny) are BRAVE."
