Australian cricketer David Warner will be making a special cameo in the much-anticipated Telugu action film Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula.
The film, which has already piqued the interest of fans due to its gripping storyline and star-studded cast, has now become even more exciting with Warner’s involvement.
Known for his aggressive batting and on-field leadership, Warner's entry into the Indian film industry marks a significant crossover, adding a new dimension to the film.
Robinhood, which stars actor Nithiin in the lead role, has garnered significant attention ahead of its release, and Warner’s involvement has added an extra layer of excitement for fans and film enthusiasts alike.
The exciting revelation came from one of the film’s producers, Y Ravi Shankar, during a promotional event for the film Kingston, in which G.V. Prakash also plays the lead role.
When asked about updates on Robinhood, Shankar shared that Warner had made a cameo in the film, much to the delight of the audience.
However, the producer immediately expressed his apologies to director Venky Kudumula, acknowledging that he had disclosed the information without prior permission.
“We are very happy to have launched David Warner in Indian cinema with our Robinhood,” he added, reflecting his enthusiasm about the cricketer’s debut in the film industry.
Robinhood tells the story of Honey Singh, played by Nithiin, a daring thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor—much like the classic legend of Robin Hood. The character is fearless and fearless in the face of danger, taking on challenges for the right price.
This adds an exciting layer of adventure and suspense to the film, which promises to be action-packed. The release of Robinhood, originally scheduled for last year, has now been delayed and is set for March 28 this year.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, the film also stars Sree Leela alongside Nithiin. It features music by the National Award-winning G.V. Prakash Kumar, and cinematography by Sai Sriram. The film is expected to be a visual and musical treat for audiences, with art direction by Raam Kumar and editing by Koti.
With Warner's surprise cameo and a compelling storyline, Robinhood is one to look out for in March.
