Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has starred in several hit films since he made his debut with Ishaqzaade in 2012. The actor has captivated his audience with some of his powerful roles. However, he has recently reflected on his interest in filmmaking.
During a recent interview, Arjun revealed that he wanted to be a filmmaker. He also noted that he finds immense joy and curiosity behind the process of filmmaking rather than acting.
The actor shared, "I started primarily because I wanted to be a filmmaker. When I was growing up, I was quite interested about films and would often go on sets.”
He recalled his father, Boney Kapoor, making Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and how it fascinated him. He said, “I saw my father making Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. If you ever go into history and see the kind of scale that film had and the kind of film it was.”
He added, “It was the most expensive film in Hindi cinema at that point. After you visit such sets, you get enamoured by it, and the joy of filmmaking seems amazing. So I started watching films, and my interest grew over time as a filmmaker/creative artist.”
Arjun Kapoor further noted, "I was always inclined towards the making. It's fun to act, but it's curious to know the 'why' behind a director's vision and DOP's way of lighting, the nitty-gritties behind editing, colours, the grey and the texture of the film. So I get tremendous joy from the entire process.”
On the professional front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi. He is now speculated to star in the sequel of the classic comedy flick No Entry.
