Ananya Panday’s father-daughter banter with Chunky Panday over chicken fried rice delights fans

Ananya Panday, daughter of Bollywood star Chunky Panday and, Bhavana Pandey, has quickly established herself as one of the industry’s most talked-about young talents. Known for her performances in Student of the Year 2, Liger, and Gehraiyaan, she recently made her digital debut in the much-anticipated series Call Me Bae, which premiered on September 6, 2024.

While Ananya’s acting career is often in the limelight, few may know about her hidden talent in the kitchen. In a fun episode of Farah Khan’s popular YouTube food vlog, Ananya got the chance to demonstrate her cooking skills by preparing chicken fried rice for her family. Farah, accompanied by her cook Dilip, visited Ananya’s home to shoot the episode.

When asked about her cooking abilities, the Call Me Bae star admitted she could only manage simple dishes like Maggi, tea, and eggs. However, for this special occasion, she tried her hand at a more elaborate dish—chicken fried rice—which her father, Chunky Panday, eagerly tasted.

Upon trying the dish, Chunky joked, “Ananya, why don’t you cook like this every day yaar?” To which Ananya, with her signature wit, replied, “Agar aap mujhe paiso do toh mai karungi, we will talk about my pagaar” (If you pay me, I’ll cook. Let’s discuss my salary).
