Ahan Shetty is all set to carry forward the cinematic legacy of his father, Suniel Shetty, as he takes on a pivotal role in Border 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1997 war epic Border.

Currently immersed in the filming of the sequel, Ahan recently stirred nostalgia with a heartfelt social media post that resonated with fans of the original film.

Sharing a collage that juxtaposed an image of himself in military fatigues alongside an iconic still of Suniel Shetty as Captain Bhairon Singh, Ahan offered a touching tribute to his father’s enduring legacy. The post was captioned, “Har beta kahin na kahin apne baap jaisa banna chahta hai. Border 2 – January 23, 2026."

The 1971 India-Pakistan war was portrayed in JP Dutta's cult classic, Border, which is considered to be among India's most famous war films. One of the most memorable parts of Suniel Shetty's career is his portrayal of the valiant and selfless Captain Bhairon Singh, who sacrifices his life on the battlefield.

With JP Dutta once again supporting the project, the sequel seeks to rekindle the same sense of patriotism nearly thirty years later. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty play important parts in the ensemble cast of Border 2, and Sunny Deol returns to his iconic role from the first film.
