Adah revealed that she had moved into the former residence of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a luxurious 4BHK apartment located on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai. The sea-facing duplex, complete with a terrace, is an enviable property, reportedly valued in crores. Despite the grandeur of the apartment, Adah has chosen to live in it without any furniture, a decision that has sparked curiosity among her fans and the media alike.
During an event hosted by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt on August 12, 2024, where she was promoting her upcoming films, Adah was asked about her living situation. There had been speculation about whether she had purchased Sushant Singh Rajput’s former flat or was merely staying as a tenant. Adah clarified that she had rented the apartment and lived there with her mother and grandmother. Interestingly, she mentioned that her grandmother also contributes to paying the rent, emphasizing that it’s a shared family decision rather than a solo endeavor. However, the most surprising revelation was not about her tenancy but her unconventional approach to living in such a luxurious space.
When Vikram Bhatt humorously pointed out that Adah’s home has no furniture because she doesn’t believe in it, Adah laughed and confirmed this. She revealed that even in her previous home, she had chosen not to have any furniture. This disclosure naturally piqued the interest of Bhatt and others present, leading him to ask her to explain the rationale behind such a decision.
Adah explained her reasoning in a way that gave insight into her personality and lifestyle. She shared, "It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house." For Adah, the open space is not just a design choice but a necessity that allows her to express herself through dance, a passion that she clearly holds dear.
Moving into the apartment once occupied by Sushant Singh Rajput, an actor whose life and untimely death left a profound impact on the film industry and his fans, carries a significant emotional weight. When asked about this, Adah acknowledged that the media attention she received upon visiting the apartment was overwhelming. "For now, I would just like to say that I live in everyone’s hearts. There is a right time to speak. When I had gone to see the place, I got overwhelmed with the media attention. I am a private person. I love being in the public eye for my movies but I have always been private. I guard my privacy," she said.
