INDI Alliance exposed as communal, casteist, and nepotistic, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on May 26, delivered blistering criticisms of the Opposition INDI alliance, particularly targeting the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress, during a slew of election rallies in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing fervent crowds in Mirzapur and Ghosi, the PM accused the INDI alliance of promoting division and perpetuating a culture of communalism, casteism, and nepotism.

In Mirzapur, PM Modi asserted that the electorate had recognised the alleged communal, casteist, and nepotistic nature of the INDI alliance, stating, "People of the country have understood INDI alliance and that they are communal ('sampradiak'), casteist ('jativadi') and ‘parivaarwadi’." He further accused the alliance of fostering division and vote bank politics, warning of their purported intention to amend the Constitution to provide reservations for Muslims. "The INDI alliance has decided to change the Constitution to give reservation to Muslims," he claimed.

Taking aim at the Opposition alliance, PM Modi ridiculed their proposed leadership structure. "INDI alliance says it will have five Prime Ministers in five years. Can such PMs strengthen the country?" he questioned, casting doubt on the stability and effectiveness of a government with such a setup. PM Modi highlighted the electorate's awareness of political dynamics, asserting that voters in Uttar Pradesh would not support a party that is "already falling."

In Ghosi, Modi launched a scathing attack on the SP and Congress, accusing them of perpetuating a culture of mafia, poverty, and helplessness in Purvanchal through their "parivarvaad" (nepotism). He emphasized Purvanchal's significance in the political landscape, highlighting the region's role in electing both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in recent years.
