Kundu suggested that Dangi's actions were a result of sensing the impending defeat of his son, Congress candidate Balram Dangi, which left him "rattled." He also called for calm and urged voters to maintain peace during the election process.

Balraj Kundu is facing off against Congress' Balram Dangi and BJP's Deepak Hooda in the Meham constituency. Polling for all 90 Assembly seats in Haryana began on Saturday amid tight security, with key figures like Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Congress' Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Vinesh Phogat, and JJP's Dushyant Chautala among the 1,027 candidates whose fate will be determined by over 2 crore eligible voters.
