Bihar's Sandesh sees tightest contest, JD(U) candidate wins by just 27 votes

The Sandesh constituency in Bihar was in for a nail-biting contest on Friday when the counting began.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was in for the sweetest treat on Friday as it handed over a crushing defeat to the Mahagathbandhan alliance and registered a thumping victory with 202 of the 243 seats.

However, for some candidates, the contest ended in a nail-biting finish.

For instance, the contest in Sandesh was the tightest in Bihar, with JD(U) candidate Radha Charan Sah defeating RJD’s Dipu Singh by a razor-thin margin of only 27 votes.

Sah got 80,598 votes (43.99%), while Singh won 80,571 votes (43.97%) in one of the most thrilling contests during this assembly election.
