The practical exams of UP Board Intermediate students have been postponed for a few days. Initially slated to commence on January 23rd, the exams will now be held from February 1st to 16th.
The decision to postpone the exams was taken to avoid a clash with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains, scheduled from January 22nd to 31st. The board had previously planned mock examinations during the same period as the initial practical exam dates.
According to the revised schedule, the first phase of practical exams will be conducted from February 1st to 8th in Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur divisions. The second phase will take place from February 9th to 16th in Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti divisions.
Increased Female Participation:
A significant number of female students have registered for the practical examinations. In the Inter Science category, 1,650,937 students have registered for Chemistry, 1,650,482 for Physics, and 1,249,485 for Biology.
Enhanced Transparency Measures:
The UP Board has implemented a new system to ensure transparency and fairness in the evaluation process. Examiners are now required to upload student marks directly to a dedicated mobile app at the examination center. This app is designed to function only within a 200-meter radius of the exam center. Additionally, examiners must take a selfie with the students and upload it to the app. School principals are responsible for monitoring and recording the examination process.
These strict rules and technological measures aim to minimize any instances of malpractice and ensure fair and accurate assessment of student performance.
