She cleared the preliminary exam. With her ten-year-old daughter by her side, she began preparing for the next big challenge: the RAS Mains exam.
Then, the unthinkable happened. Just eight days before the Mains exam, her young daughter passed away.
To lose a child is a pain beyond words. For many, this would be the point of surrender. But Rohini, carrying an ocean of grief, made a monumental decision. She would not let her sacrifices be in vain. She would write the exam.
As if fate had one more test, two days before the exam, Rohini met with an accident in Jaipur. She suffered a serious injury to her eye. The doctors had to bandage it completely.
Imagine this: sitting for one of the toughest competitive exams in India, with a heart weighed down by the loss of her husband, grandmother, and daughter, and with one eye covered by a bandage.
Yet, Rohini walked into the examination hall.
With only one eye to see, she wrote her papers. Her determination was so powerful that she cleared the RAS Mains exam. She then performed well in the interview and was finally selected for the RAS 2023 recruitment.
