PMIS 2024 Last Date: Today is the last day to register for the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2024. This government initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing valuable work experience to young Indians.
The scheme, initially launched on October 12 with a deadline of October 26, has been extended to November 10. The online application window closes tonight at pminternship.mca.gov.in. With over 130 companies already registered, the scheme offers more than 50,000 internship positions across various sectors.
Who Can Apply?
- Unemployed Indian citizens aged 21-24 years (as of application deadline).
- Not pursuing full-time education or employment (exceptions for online/distance learners)
- Family income below Rs 8 lakh annually (government job holders excluded)
- Excludes graduates from certain prestigious institutes and those with professional degrees (CA, CS, MBA).
- Not currently enrolled in government skill training programs
- Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 (Rs 4,500 from the government, Rs 500 from companies via CSR funds).
- One-time grant of Rs 6,000 for each intern.
The selection process for the PM Internship Scheme 2024 will be announced between October 27th and November 7th. Offer letters will be sent from November 8th to 25th, and internships will begin in companies from December 2nd.
