NEET PG 2025 Postponed

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 has been postponed following a directive from the Supreme Court to conduct the examination in a single shift. The decision aims to uphold fairness and transparency in the exam process.

Several candidates had previously expressed concerns over the existing two-shift system, arguing that it created inconsistencies in question paper difficulty and raised doubts about the effectiveness of the score normalization process. The petitioners demanded a return to the single-shift format to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants.

The Supreme Court heard a plea challenging the two-shift schedule and emphasized the need for a uniform exam experience for every candidate. The court directed the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to reorganize the exam in a single shift to ensure the process remains “just, fair, reasonable, and equitable.”

Originally scheduled for June 15, the NEET PG 2025 exam has now been deferred. The NBE has assured candidates that new dates will be announced soon. The board also stated that additional exam centres and adequate infrastructure will be arranged to facilitate the smooth conduct of the test in a single shift.
