The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has started the online registration process for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2025. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam can apply through the official website, setexam.unipune.ac.in. The last date to apply is March 13, 2025. Those who miss this deadline can still register until March 21, 2025, by paying a late fee.
The MH SET 2025 exam will be held on June 15, 2025. The 40th edition of the test will be conducted at multiple centres across Maharashtra and Goa, including Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Solapur, Ahilyanagar, Nasik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nanded, Amravati, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Ratnagiri, Parbhani, Nandurbar, and Panjim.
The exam consists of two papers:
- Paper 1: Tests reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. Each question carries two marks.
- Paper 2: Focuses on the candidate’s selected subject, with 100 objective-type questions, each worth two marks.
There is no negative marking in the exam. To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks (35% for reserved categories). MH SET determines eligibility for assistant professor positions in universities and colleges across Maharashtra. Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject to apply.
MH SET 2025 Application Fee
The registration fee for different categories is as follows:
- General category: Rs 800
- Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PwD, Transgender, Orphan, etc.): Rs 650
Candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:
- Visit the official website: setexam.unipune.ac.in.
- Click on the link that says "Apply for M-SET held on 15th June 2025."
- Register and proceed to fill in the application form.
- Pay the application fee and submit the form.
- Download and print the application for future reference.
