Prashant Yaduvanshi, once a topper in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – one of India’s toughest competitive exams – has taken an unconventional path by becoming a tattoo artist and the founder of Shaman Ink. His journey from academics to art is a story of self-discovery and breaking traditional norms.

A Reluctant Beginning in Engineering

In 2009, Prashant Yaduvanshi achieved what many consider the pinnacle of academic success. He cleared multiple competitive exams, including JEE, NDA, AIPMT, and AFMC, with his All India Rank in JEE around 14,000. Yet, this remarkable achievement didn’t stem from passion.

“I was an above-average student with no specific motivation to prepare for JEE,” Prashant recalls. “It was simply the only exposure I had. I was following the herd, assuming the toppers in my class knew what they were doing. Surprisingly, I ranked first in JEE Main 2009 from Daman and Diu, while my class topper secured the 12th spot.”
