Delhi govt schools to hold remedial classes for classes 9, 10 and 12 during summer break: DOE

The Directorate of Education has announced remedial classes for students of Classes IX, X, and XII in Delhi government schools from May 13 to May 31, 2025, to improve academic performance.

In a move aimed at academic support, the Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced that government schools in Delhi will hold remedial classes for students of Classes IX, X, and XII during the summer vacation period.

According to an official circular, regular school activities will be suspended from May 11 to June 30. However, remedial sessions will run from May 13 to May 31 to help students reinforce key subject concepts and improve overall learning outcomes.

The classes will be conducted in the morning, with sessions scheduled from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, divided into three one-hour periods. For schools operating in double shifts, separate wings will be used to ensure smooth conduct of classes for all students.

The focus for Classes IX and X will be on Science and Mathematics on a daily basis. A third subject may be included depending on the specific academic needs of students, as assessed by the school principal.
