The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026. Candidates can now complete their online registration until 9 November 2025.
The NTA made this decision after receiving several requests from applicants. In its latest notice, the agency said, “In continuation to the Public Notice dated 10.10.2025 regarding submission of online application form for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools across the country for the academic year 2026–27, NTA has decided to extend the last date for submission of the online application form for AISSEE 2026, enabling aspiring candidates to apply.”
According to the updated schedule, the AISSEE 2026 exam will be held on Sunday, 18 January 2026.
Correction Window Details
During the correction window, candidates will not be allowed to edit their name, mobile number, email ID, or permanent and present address. However, they can make corrections to Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, class applied for, medium of exam, photograph, signature, and certificates (category, date of birth, and studentship).
They can also change their preferred exam city, but only within the same State or Union Territory.
How to Apply for AISSEE 2026
- Visit the official NTA Sainik School website: https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/
- Click on “AISSEE 2026 Application Form” on the homepage.
- Register using your name, mobile number, and email ID.
- Fill in the required details, upload documents, and select exam preferences.
- Pay the examination fee online, submit the form, and download the confirmation page for reference.
New Sainik Schools Added
This year, three new Sainik Schools have been included under the scheme:
- Sri SPK Public Senior Secondary School, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu (residential)
- Vadem Nagar Higher Secondary School, Vasco-Goa, Goa (residential)
- Yogeshwari Sainik School, Ambajogai, Beed district, Maharashtra (day boarding)
