Triumph Motorcycles has announced the Thruxton 400 India launch, bringing the legendary cafe racer name back with a modern twist. The new Triumph Thruxton 400 enters the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom), ahead of its global rollout later this year.

The Triumph Thruxton 400 is powered by a 398cc TR-Series liquid-cooled engine delivering 42PS at 9,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 7,500rpm. This powertrain offers 5% more power than the Triumph Speed 400. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Key features include ride-by-wire throttle and torque-assist clutch, designed for both city and spirited riding.

With its dedicated chassis and revised suspension setup, the Thruxton 400 cafe racer promises a sporty and engaging ride. Clip-on handlebars, a sculpted fuel tank, rear-set footpegs, and a colour-matched bullet seat cowl define its classic cafe racer stance. Ergonomics have been optimised, with the handlebars positioned 40mm narrower and 246mm lower compared to the Speed 400, while the footpegs are set 86mm further back and 27mm higher.

The Triumph Thruxton 400 features advanced technology, including switchable traction control, ABS, a full-featured LCD display, a USB-C charging port, and LED lighting. Suspension duties are managed by 43mm upside-down forks in the front and a gas-charged, preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 300mm front disc with a four-piston radial caliper and a 230mm rear disc.
