One of the largest-selling MPVs in India, the Innova Hycross comes with standard safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and seatbelt reminder as standard. It also complies with pedestrian protection norms.

The five-star safety rating is for the entire range of the Innova Hycross across seven-seater and eight-seater configurations. The availability of six airbags and ESC right from the entry-level variant played an important role in the handsome scores achieved by the vehicle during the carsh tests.
