Renault plans to launch 4 more cars in India

Renault launched the new Triber in India on July 23.

The new Renault Triber is priced between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 9.17 lakh (ex-showroom).

Renault India will reportedly introduce four new models in the country over the next two years. The carmaker currently offers the Kwid entry-level hatchback, the Kiger sub-4 metre compact SUV and the Triber sub-4 metre compact MPV.

The company launched the new Triber in India on July 23. In its fresh avatar, the MPV is priced between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 9.17 lakh (ex-showroom).

This was the carmaker's first important launch in over four years in India, following the introduction of the Kiger in February 2021.

With limited models in its portfolio, Renault India has been struggling with low volumes and the resultant declining market share.

"Now we are in the mode of rising and this is the first product which you see," businessline quoted Renault India MD Venkatram Mamillapalle as saying. "There will be four products during the next two years," he said. The company has already announced that most of the new launches will be in the SUV body style.
