Maruti Suzuki Dzire scores 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP, Baleno disappoints

While the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the largest-selling sedan in India, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the country's best-selling premium hatchback.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has scored a five-star safety rating at the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). However, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno had a disappointing performance, garnering four stars in the latest round of safety tests.

The Dzire scored five stars each in the adult occupant protection category (AOP) and the child occupant protection (COP) category, with 29.46 points out of 32 in the former and 41.57 points out of 49 in the latter.

The Baleno received four stars in the AOP category, scoring 26.52 points and three stars in the COP category, with 34.81 points.
