The best views of the September 2025 solar eclipse will be in:

• Ross Sea, Antarctica: Up to 86% of the sun will be covered.


• Southern New Zealand (Dunedin): Sunrise at 6:27 am NZST will already show the eclipse, reaching 72% coverage about 40 minutes later.


• Auckland, New Zealand: Sunrise at 6:10 am NZST will reveal a partially eclipsed sun.


• South Pacific (Fiji and Tonga): A smaller partial eclipse will be visible.


• Hobart, Australia: A 3% partial eclipse will appear just after sunrise at 6:00 am AEST.
