In a dramatic departure from his earlier assertions of halting “seven wars,” US President Donald Trump, on Thursday evening, claimed that he successfully settled “three wars,” some of which he said had been ongoing for over three decades.

Speaking to reporters while hosting a high-profile dinner with top technology CEOs at the White House, Trump said, “I settled three wars. One was 31 years going, a lot of people killed, 10 million people. Another was 34, and another was 37 years, it was going on.”

Without specifying which conflicts he was referring to, Trump asserted that critics had doubted his ability to bring about peace, but he “stopped them anyway.” He added that he intends to adopt a similar approach to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war, describing it as “more difficult” but still “settleable.”
