EU cracks down on Musk’s X

The European Union on Friday fined Elon Musk’s X 120 million euros ($140 million) for violating its digital regulations, a move that drew an angry backlash from Washington.

The high-profile investigation into the social media platform had been widely viewed as a test of the EU’s willingness to rein in Big Tech. Even before the penalty was announced, US Vice President JD Vance warned against "attacking" US companies through "censorship".
