Uttar Pradesh has unveiled ‘Anokhi Duniya’, the world’s first park created entirely from ceramic waste, in Khurja, Bulandshahr—the ceramic capital of India. Scheduled to officially open by the end of September 2025, the park celebrates sustainable art and local craftsmanship.

Spanning two acres and developed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the park transforms over 80 tonnes of discarded ceramic waste into creative installations. This initiative aligns with the state’s One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, aimed at promoting local industries and boosting Khurja’s reputation in global pottery exports.

Visitors can explore nearly 100 unique ceramic artworks crafted by six artists and 120 skilled artisans, including 28 large-scale installations made from broken pitchers, cups, kettles, and other ceramic items. The park demonstrates how waste can be repurposed into vibrant, sustainable, and visually stunning creations, complementing the goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Designed as a family-friendly destination, Anokhi Duniya features selfie points, landscaped gardens, and a café to enhance the visitor experience. The park is expected to position Khurja as a global tourism hotspot, highlighting India’s rich handicraft traditions.
