Anand Mahindra discovers Maharashtra’s hidden Mangi-Tungi trek—a soulful adventure just hours from Mumbai & Pune!

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, frequently delights millions on X (formerly Twitter) with glimpses of his travels, hidden gems, and inspiring adventures. Recently, he uncovered a secret trekking treasure just a 6–7 hour drive from Mumbai and Pune—an experience that thrilled him and had us equally excited!

Taking to X, Mahindra shared a video originally posted by @colorfullife07, revealing a trekking trail near Nashik that even he hadn’t known existed, despite visiting the city multiple times. The trail? Maharashtra’s Mangi-Tungi trek. Calling it “spectacular,” he described it as “not just a rewarding physical journey but also a soulful experience.”

The trek is dotted with towering Jain statues, including the awe-inspiring 108-foot-tall Statue of Ahimsa, a reminder that some of the most unforgettable travel experiences can be found close to home. But Mahindra also sounded a note of caution: the trail, perched 4300 feet above sea level, is steep and challenging, so trekkers need to tread carefully.
