It is an eco-model settlement, Naga village, close to Kohima. It boasts of a warrior history and conservation activities, but it is a low-profile cultural attraction.

Hallstatt is world-renowned yet not unbelievably busy in low seasons. Even its lakeside beauty and salt mine heritage preserve something of the small-village feel.
Uchisar, Turkey
In Cappadocia, there is a rock fortress that is the hallmark of Uchisar. It has not lost its serene rhythm as the local towns, though it has a different geographical setting.

It is a Himalayan village that is bordered by the Annapurna peaks. Trekkers are frequent flyers who rarely spend significant time getting into its pure Gurung culture.

Folegandros, in contrast to Santorini, has beautiful cliffside views without the presence of masses of tourists and is overshadowed by Folegandros' whitewashed houses.
Lamayuru, India
Lamayuru may be called the Moonland of Ladakh, with its barren landscapes and ancient monastery; it is one of the most undiscovered Himalayan gems.
These ghost towns, showcasing the best of culture and nature without such mass tourism, are prosperous. They are a reminder to the travellers that there are places in the world where time is slow and traditions are still preserved.
