X (formerly Twitter) is facing a service disruption, with users reporting issues related to feed loading, login failures and app access. The outage appears to have impacted users across regions, with many unable to refresh timelines or access key features on the platform.
Spike in outage reports
According to outage tracking platform Downdetector, reports surged sharply within a short time window. Data indicates a spike with hundreds of reports at around 12:48pm suggesting a widespread issue rather than isolated glitches. The majority of complaints were linked to the app experience, followed by problems with feed or timeline refresh and website access.
Key problems faced by users
Users attempting to access X reported multiple issues affecting core functionality. These include:
Feed not loading or refreshing
Login failures and session timeouts
Delays in posting or interacting with content
App crashes in some cases
Several users also took to other platforms to confirm the outage, sharing screenshots of blank feeds and error messages. Also, We at Moneycontrol tried accessing X and it currently shows "Welcome to X" with no posts on the feed page.
No official response yet
At the time of writing, X has not issued an official statement acknowledging the outage or providing details on the cause. It remains unclear whether the issue is related to server downtime, backend updates or network disruptions.
What users can do
Users facing issues can try basic troubleshooting steps such as restarting the app, clearing cache or switching networks. However, if the outage is server-side, these steps may not resolve the problem immediately. The situation is expected to stabilise as the platform works toward restoring services.
