Han Boxiao, Product Manager at Vivo, has now confirmed on Weibo that the Vivo X300 Pro will come with a 200MP imaging sensor that will be used for telephoto photography on the handset. Moreover, it will be the same 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB Thanos sensor that the company will use for the standard Vivo X300’s primary camera.

Further, Vivo has also confirmed that these new sensors will provide improved optical image stabilisation (OIS), with a CIPA 5.5 level of stability. This is a big leap from the CIPA 4.5 stabilisation on the Vivo X200 generation, as the claimed 5.5 ant-shake certification is the industry’s highest at the moment. The official has revealed that the X300 Pro will offer an integration of software and hardware optimisation to provide improved telephoto photography, which is “farther and clearer and removes the sense of AI”.
