Vivo appears to be moving closer to launching its next V-series smartphone. The Vivo V70 has been spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database, offering an early look at some of its hardware and connectivity specifications. While Vivo has not confirmed the device or its launch plans yet, the regulatory listing provides clues about what to expect from the upcoming model.

What the FCC listing reveals
According to the FCC database, the handset carries the model number V2538, which has previously been linked to the Vivo V70 through other certification platforms. The listing includes documentation related to wireless testing, confirming support for 5G connectivity along with Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6.
The FCC documents also indicate at least one configuration of the Vivo V70 featuring 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage. This suggests Vivo may continue offering higher memory options in its V-series lineup, similar to recent models launched in India and other markets.

Software and platform details
The FCC listing hints that the Vivo V70 could run on Android 16 out of the box, with Vivo’s custom OriginOS layered on top. If this information holds true, the V70 may be among the early smartphones to ship with the next version of Android, depending on the final launch timeline and regional software strategy.

Previous benchmark sightings of the same model number suggest that the Vivo V70 may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. If confirmed, this would position the device in the upper mid-range segment, focusing on balanced performance, power efficiency, and improved AI capabilities.
